Phil and the girls put together a breakfast to serve to Alice in bed. After the heartburn sets in, Phil also wants to shower her with a day off, and plans to handle all the household chores. Phil sings, Is It True What They Say About Dixie.
Frankie comes over to help with the dishes, and the two decide to prepare a gourmet meal for dinner. What will it be Southern cooking? French coussine? How about a nice turkey dinner. Alice sings, You Were Meant for Me.
Frankie arrives home with a 56 pound tom turkey, and only a short time left until dinner. When Julius is added to the mix the kitchen antics come to a broil. Amazingly, the turkey dinner ends up being just the thing for Alice, but it’s not due to any of Phil’s culinary skills.
