Investigating the robbery down at the bank, the cops find that Myrtle Shaw is a local shop owner. The trusting lady describes her attack, then Joe describes his investigation in voiceover.
The cops hit the streets to see if others in the area saw anything. Through the mundane interaction, suspects are slowly identified. More information about the suspects are identified, and a little about their activities.
The leads are beginning to dwindle, but photographs waiting in a drug store are grounds to stakeout the suspects. The trail leads to check out local prize fighters. The sorting through clues is an endless mundane event, just the bland floor of the show that has made Dragnet a success through the years. The trail grows warmer, and an arrest is made.
