On a Martian outpost, a couple of travelers breeze into the mining camp. What do the men at the local colony do for relaxation? Any girls? Their geologist host finds his relaxation with rocks, but others rely on gambling, or those 4 armed variety of girl from Saturn. What do Charlie and Mike plan to propose to the colony? Marriage to the applicants, but where will they get 20k women to fulfill the requests?
Will they be skipping town to take the money and run? Not until they’ve milked the colony for more money. They even have a plan to run a similar scam on earth to cheat women out of their dollars. The scam has been suspected, but the blame is shifted to the office of the dating company on earth. The rocket is coming in, and the problem of explaining the scam away needs to be confronted.
Rather than being killed, or tarred and feathered, or otherwise punished, the con men find out they are to be guests of honor. The lonely, rough, miners of Mars are pleased to get even the rocket load of frumpy women that has been sent. When you’ve done without, for as long as they have, standards and expectations are easier to meet.
