Gildersleeve is out for a jog, with Leroy pacing him on his bicycle. It all started after an evening with Eve Goodwin. As Gildy takes a break from the exercise routine, he and Leroy watch the Milkman and his horse go about their routine.
Back home for breakfast, Gildersleeve brags about his exersize regimine as he piles on the tasty treats that Birdie has prepared. Is it any wonder why he has gained weight, despite his new fitness plan? To advance his political campaign, Gildersleeve plans to have some photos taken, which Leroy and Marjorie want to get in on.

Gildersleeve is off to Floyd’s to get his haircut. Peavey pops in to wait his turn for the barber chair. The guys all talk about how the political campaign is going. Due to his own squirming around though, Gildy ends up getting cut up from Floyd’s clippers. Can Marjorie help to bail him out, and improve his looks?
When Campaign Manager, Judge Hooker arrives with the photographer, the modeling begins. Will the photos give the impressions hoped for? Will Eve be impressed with the special portrait that Gildy drops off for her? Maybe.
