Lou is excited because he learned that he is to inherit a large estate from his uncle. He tells Bud all about his uncle, and what he plans to do with the money. He wants to buy a radio station, and be the head announcer. Ken Niles, and his radio wife challenge Lou to a contest for the announcer job. Connie Haines sings, San Fernando Valley.
Back in the radio station, Lou meets with an important sponsor, played by Alan Reed, and the current announcer, played by Mel Blanc. Tough guy, Alan Ladd arrives, but Lou seems confused as to what he wants. What does he want? Just to be a radio announcer, that’s all. Despite his best try to get rid of him, Alan Ladd is back, and showcases his voice talents. He can play quite a lot besides the tough guys he usually is known for.
Alan does the announcing, and pitching the radio shows, while Lou does the fake commercials, soap opera dramas, and so forth. Alan and Mrs Niles add to the fun, but in the end, Lou finds out the truth about his dead uncle and what was really left to him.
