In the living room in the small house halfway up the next block, we find Vic and Sade involved in a round of Rummy. Vic keeps a watchful eye on the game play, marvelling at Sade’s sloppy habits of throwing away good cards, and forgetting whose turn it is. Russel enters for distractions to the game when he talks about his 60 pairs of pants.
It’s all part of his bragging to his friends, and to prove his point, Russel wants his parents to sign a document to testify to the number of pants he has owned in his lifetime.
Not concerned with the silly request, and rather than pay attention to the cards, Sade gossips about her friends. Since Vic can’t play his hand yet, he tries to fend off Russel, while doing his best to lure Sade back into the game.
Trivia:
- Mis’ Appelrot inferred that Ruthie Stembottom is short. We already know Ruthie has tiny feet, so she probably is short!
- Russell doesn’t get along with Heinie Call and it appears as though they have had trouble in the recent past.
- Heinie Call has airplane pictures.
- Sade spends the entire episode trying to make one move in the Rummy game with Vic.
