Assigned to robbery detail, Joe Friday has to stop the tall beautiful woman who is beating up her victims. The latest victim tells the story of how he was beaten and robbed. The married man offered the hitch hiking blonde a ride, but she robbed him at gun point and stole his wallet and car. With the help of police women, Joe Friday and Ben Romero get a few leads on some female criminals who might fit the case. The rash of robberies by beautiful bandit queens keeps on rolling and getting newspaper attention.
Despite the sensationalism, Joe Friday shares in voiceover that the actual police work is just a mundane process. With that in mind, we find Joe making use of all the routine police tools and methods at whittling down the suspects, and gathering information to build his case.
A quick responce to the latest robbery sends Joe and Ben out, with sirens blaring, on the track of the criminal on the run. The desperate crook answers with gunfire, and the big secret of the identity is made. A cross dressing criminal, who hid out by living in an all women’s boarding house.
