The maid claims that she can’t talk and work, so as Gracie does the chores, the maid gossips about her other Hollywood clients. George phones home to say that he wants to bring a guest home. William Powell has been having trouble getting rest, and needs a place to sleep. After being shown to the guest room, and catching jokes that compare him to George, William gets settled in. Billy Mills plays, Fascinating Rhythm.
Feeling sorry for her guest, Gracie tries to help him by playing the part of his leading lady. All it really does is disturb him, and make William think that George is a cad. The more he tries to sleep, the more that Gracie, george and even Bill Goodwin want to help. With each disturbance,they wake him from sleep so they can offer the latest of their insomnia cures. The ultimate sleeping aid arrives when Gracie has George sneak in to sing William a lullabye.
