Vic talks with Sade about the emergency lodge meeting that is to kick off this evening. To prepare, Vic recruits Rush and Sade to drop what they are doing, and help him get ready. He needs his special lodge clothes, and Rush needs to help with memorizing the official greetings, and assigning gretings to others to memorize.
While Sade is on the phone to rearrange the evenings scheduled events with playing cards and all, chaos reigns when Rush goes over lodge speeches with Vic. As events unfold, they get complicated when it comes out that Vic’s plumed hat, lodge robe, and other regalia have all been loaned out. To put it mildly, it puts a cramp in Vic’s style.
More frustrations arise when Vic wants Sade to read the Latin phrases over the phone to Hank Gutstop. She and hank don’t get along, and the strange greetings are just too over the top for her to read. With Sade dispensing his lodge regalia to the winds, it is a huge understatement to say that Vic is upset. Perhaps in seeing her crimes, and wanting to appease Vic, Sade gives in and whenHank phones, she at least reads the Latin greeting anyway.
Just what happened to all Vic’s regalia? Here’s what Jimbo Mason has to say on the matter:
As with almost all Vic and Sade stories, there’s a hitch. Vic comes to find out his pants were loaned out to Tom Packett who recently played the part of Santa Claus.
It seems one of Vic’s boots was loaned out to Mis’ Husher who hung it over her fireplace for Christmas.
It gets worse, as we find his plumme hat was loaned out to Smelly Clark as a Christmas tree ornament and his robe (Charlie Razorscum) and tunic (Mis’ Brighton) were lent (no reasons given) out as well.
The only piece of regalia of Vic’s left untouched is his sword.
