The new dentist may have out worn his welcome as he has neglected his duties. Today, Cedric enters the Jot Em Down store to wish Abner ‘Wonderful World!’ Lum needs him to take time away from his busy life of playing pinball, to deliver some handbills. Determined to be a better dentist than Doc Snide, Lum has been reading up on the topic.
Is that all there is to being a dentist? Cedric wants to know. Abner has been doing his own studying up that he shares with Cedric. When Lum enters, instructions are dispensed to get out all the handbills. Doctor Edwards, high class dentist, is eager to start his new practice.
There’s still plenty more reading in that dentist book, but the big words make Lum think he can write a better one. Lum worries how he’ll break the news to Doc Snide about being fired as dentist. A letter from the government may make it easier, but it could also mean Lum may have to arrest himself for being a dentist without a license,
