Worshippers from all over Judea and Galilee have come to the temple to observe Passover. Joseph of Aramathea and his wife are among the crowds that fill the streets. High priests are offended at the spectacle of palm branches spread before the approaching Jesus. Something must be done about this, and arrangements are made with Judas to capture the Master.
Elsewhere, the disciples have their feet washed, as the last supper closes. The example of humility, and servanthood is well taken by those in attendance. The communion is given, but do any suspect a traitor among them? Prediction of the abandonment of the rest of the disciples is made.
, they all rest, as Jesus prays that if possible, for this cup to pass from him. Troops arrive to take Jesus into custody. Is there any hope of protecting the Master from them? As Jesus is taken away, the predictions begin coming true. To his shame, Peter denies Jesus.
Inside, Jesus has been found guilty for being who he claimed to be, and is soon whisked away to see Pontius Pilate. Is he a king? What is the truth? Pilate’s wife warns him of her dream… no fault is found… an offer to free a condemned man is made… Jesus is mocked in a purple robe… and the crowds call to crucify him. The stage is set for the crucifixion, and the various last words of Jesus, as he hung on the cross.
Note: The closing credit is missing, but the show is all there.
