Gildersleeve takes the afternoon to show off his carpentry prowess to Leroy. With the project far from completion, Gildy is called away by Leila to stop in at her house for a visit. He ends up full circle, but now it’s to help Leila with her income taxes. Gildy is looking for any distractions he can to take him away from his chore.
Peavey comes by, and his conversation about having illness in his home is shared. When the judge stops in, he is a little more eager to lend a hand. Now that the judge is attacking the tax forms, Gildy wants to spend a little private time with Leila, but she feels bad about abandoning Judge Hooker with the tax forms. Soon, the two gents are trying to get in close with Leila. Will her taxes ever get done?
