Bud complains about Lou’s wet clothes. The two joke about being sick, and other health matters. Ken Niles arrives so jokes turn toward his stage wife, Verna Felton. Abbott gets Costello confused with the bit about Fleeing the Flu. Freddi Rich plays, Alone Together.
Now under a doctors care, Bud has Lou in bed and on an exersize regimin. Peter Lorre visits to offer the services of his sanitarium. How can such a mild mannered, soft spoken man come across so creepy? Connie Haines sings, I Couldn’t Sleep a Wink Last Night.
Back at the sanitarium at midnight, Lou is on edge, but why? The place is peaceful and restful. It’s just that Lou wants to avoid Resting in Peace. The creepy jokes continue in what is probably one of the best of Abbott and Costello’s comedy.
