Visiting an old rancher, Lone Ranger warms up near the roaring fire. He tells that Kimosavvy means trusted scout, but his trusted indian friend, Tonto has been quiet about his observation of the winter weather. Will the weather be kind to the rancher, and the herd this year? The masked man warns of a couple of cowhands, Kramer and Langley, they aren’t bad, they just have a way of stirring things up and pranking lawmen. Stories are told through dramatization of the bickering cow punchers. Threats of killing each other, and other pranks.
Sure enough Kramer shows up, but the ranchers are still amazed at some of the horse skills of the newcomer. If not for the heads up from the Lone Ranger, the news from the worried sheriff might be troubling news. Langley is in town, and claiming to be gunning for Kramer. Elsewhere, Tonto shares some news that might lead to serious trouble indeed. Is there a murder warrant for Jack Page, the rancher? Lone Ranger will need to ride fast to stop some real bullets from flying in a pretend shoot out.
There are still some loose ends for our heroes to tie up in catching up to a killer, and for a happy ending for Janie.
