One bit of gossip spreads through town. Shepherds had been heard going through town, proclaiming the birth of a savior. The gossip has even reached the ears of Herod, the king. Will he have any reason to worry? Will he be able to find the shepherds to question them? Instead, a report of a caravan is told. A caravan where the people are seeking the newborn king.
Elsewhere, we join the caravan, and learn about the prophecy as they understand it. Herod wants them seized at once to learn what they know. What do they know about the strange star that appeared to them? How do they know it’s the star of a king? Herod asks them to report to him once they have found the king, so he can also worship him. Yeah right.
At the inn, the wise men come calling to see the new baby. Though the innkeeper is a little disgruntled at all the attention over a baby, he lets them see Joseph. Royal treatment and gifts are given to the new mother. Angelic warnings tell Joeseph to flee to keep his family safe.
