With football season still in full swing, Mr Conklin wants to keep up with the rival school who just acquired a bear for their new school mascot. After a brainstorming session, which includes such ideas as
renaming the Madison High team to fit animals they have at hand. The Frogs, the Turtles, the Gophers? Nah.
Later in the day, Mr Conklin has to replace some bookends, but his note to Connie Brooks gets passed from hand to hand, and the message that reaches her ends up requesting her to buy a school mascot instead. To her credit, she tries to clarify her mission with Conklin, but mix ups ensue, and she’s off to purchase an elephant for the mascot.
At home, it’s usually Mrs Davis who surprises Connie with her crazy remarks. Now it’s Connie who gets to surprise Mrs Davis with her elephant hunt. Don’t miss the fun as Connie and Boynton go to the circus to get their new mascot, and spring their surprise on Mr Conklin.
