After weeks in space, and several adventures, tragedies, and two spaceships lost, Whittakers ship returns. Jet Morgan prepares a bording party to enter the abandoned craft to see what may have happened, while the rest of the fleet cruises onward. In exploring the mess left of the spaceship, they find evidence of the fake messages and the tapes used in making them. Peterson is missing, but Whittaker is found in bad shape.
The ship is checked out, and all systems seem workable, so they are again underway and catching up with the fleet. Though doc does all he can for the delerious Whittaker, he spouts out what seems nonsensical, but will make more sense in future episodes I’m sure.
When Whittaker eventually dies, a mystery about his true age is revealed. And what’s this new oddity? Talk about an exhibition, and a strange tsong that is stuck in the mind of some of the crew.
