In the Burns home, George and Gracie read through the morning mail. George wants to do more singing, but can’t find anybody who has the courage to let him on their show, including his own sponsor.
When Gracie goes to her beauty salon appointment, she discovers Jack Benny is also there. Seeing her chance, she blackmails Jack to let George sing on his show. It’ll just be once, right? Jack can deal with a one time favor.
Jimmy Cash sings, Oh What a Beautiful Morning.
Back home, Jack pleads with Gracie to let him out of the deal. Switching tactics from blackmail to guilt, Gracie implies that she is having a baby. The fun explodes when George and Jack misunderstand each other over the topics of babies, and singing.
George tries to impress Jack by singing a few bars. The deal is sealed, but I think George just lost his spot on Jack’s show.
