After being away for a while, Miss Brooks and Walter Denton go to pick up Mr Boynton. Along the way Walter shares a little school gossip related to his girlfriend Harriot, and Connies arch rival for the affections of Mr Boynton, Miss Enright. The gang all shower Boynton with gifts on his return, especially a particularly tacky neck tie from Walter that manages to show up in odd places through the show.
A little mixup occurs that makes Boynton think Connie gave him a fancy gift, and Miss Enrights is that tie that makes a person say, “Ah!” The deception is just the thing to butter up the bashful biologist, but you know the truth will have to come out sometime, and leave Connie in an embarrassing situation.
With all the gifts being showered around, a hilarious chain of re-gifting occurs. Gotta love those reactions when the truth comes out, and everybody is caught in the re-gifting scheme as those tacky gifts make the rounds.
PS:Did you notice how all the friends all got caught passing along a tacky gift? And the one who is supposed to be the outsider of the gang, Miss Enright actually had a nice gift?
