The saga of Jet Morgan and his crew of astronauts continue. The story begins with the end of the journey, reading from Doc’s diary. A story where 20 brave men set out, and only 8 are returning to Earth.
A small fleet of spaceships take off from earth without much trouble from the remote base set up on the moon. On a long trip such as one to Mars, dependance on safe and secure life support systems are crucial, but tragedy rears it’s head early.
When spaceships need to link up, a dangerous space walk is required. Personalities clash a bit as astronauts adjust to living situations. I hope it works out, since the trip will take a year to get there, and a year to return.
Audio in this show cuts off abruptly, but the show seems to be all there. I think it’s just that the opening and closing credits have been removed, as with more in this run of the sweries.
One of my all time favorite serials. I’ve heard all three, but I regularly get the impulse to go back to the beginning of the first one and play them all through again. It makes the hair stand up on my neck whenever I hear the intro: “The BBC presents Jet Morgan in JOURRRNEY INTO SPAAAAAAACE…” Goshwowboyoboy.
