Fibber has trouble parting with sentimental, old items. Who is this Al Darling, and friend of Doc Gamble? Wondering who he may b, we get a rare glimpse of uncle Dennis on the show. Is he seeing things, when there’s a moose in his room? Billy Mills plays an upbeat swinging dance number.
Uncle Dennis tells about his being worth a good bit of money. Molly tries to get her uncle to get their new boarder moved in, but excuses are all he offers. Harlowe Wilcox is on hand to learn about the new guy from the airplane plant. The inspection of the room, and Fibbers wood working project leads into the sponsor message. What other fixtures will the new boarder need to polish off his room?
The door bell brings a visit from Teeny. She’s on her best behavior, in hopes of a nice birthday gift from Fibber. In his frustration to run her out of the house, a trip to the hall closet reveals where Fibber put all the junk from the spare room. The Kingsmen sing, The Best of All.

First a visit from Coast Guardsman Latrivia, who gets teased about his hair cut, education at a barber college… or was that Yale” If not for hair cuts, what are those Coast Guard cutters for? Doc Gamble enters to give Fibber a hard time, before a former introduction to Al… make that Alice Darling.
