On a quiet country estate, a man awakens from a terrifying dream. Doctors in the otherwise peaceful sanitarium talk about breakthroughs with their patients. Is it possible to see into dreams? The attached electrodes not only graph out brainwaves, but interpret the signal well enough to present images and sounds. Think of the psychiatric research that could be done!
Even some of the most violent and irrational patients have clues in their dreams that may help the studies. But what are those recurring dreams that are in the minds of every patient tested thus far? The cases of the patients have nothing else in common, except nightmares of a green thing. How can the patients be protected from this invasion of mental telepathy?
Tests around the building are made for any intrusive radio transmissions. Suddenly, patients with dreams about the green thing are missing from their rooms. Has anyone in the near by town heard of strangers, or people hitching rides on jet ships? No strangers, only a green thing. Is it some kind of ghost?
The scientific minds of the doctors may reject such irrational notions as ghosts, but they are about to discover the controlling power of dreams. The green thing from Venus enlightens the educated minds about the motives and observations from that planet. Is there any capability of fighting back, or resisting powers of the mind?
