After a lengthy description of the latest give away promotion for the kiddies, Annie gets started with her adventure. Jed’s showboat is to be auctioned, and a rival may have his hand in it to tip the scales in his favor. Isn’t there anything Mr Silo can do for his brother?
Annie shares what she knows about rival, Randolph. He’s a bad one, according to Jed. Its enough to give up on hope, but Annie remains optimistic.
Funds are limited, and not enough to equal the value of the showboat. Annie points out to Mr Silo that its the highest bid that wins, even if its less than the worth of the merchandise. Jumping grasshoppers! Will Annie’s big idea work?
