Fighting crime, the Lone Ranger was always willing to give a second chance to those willing to reform. Two old Civil War vets ride to town looking for work. The two old guys stop at a farm house. Their host, Steve is frightened by a mysterious rider outside. The old guys eavesdrop to hear that the rider is a former friend, and both men were once cattle rustlers. The stranger plans to blackmail Steve to rustle him some cattle to get a head start at ranching. Whether Steve steals or not, he stands to lose his job. The stranger has an incriminating letter that he holds over Steve’s head.
The two old vets head out to inform the Lone Ranger. Time begins to run out as the old timers search for their friend. Will the Lone Ranger be in time? What can he do about the situation anyway? Will old Hacksaw, and Bolliver need to take matters into their own hands? Will the two old vets be outclassed by the sneaky cattle rustler?
Trivia Note: The two Civil War vets, Hacksaw and Bolliver made an earlier appearance in the episode, “Confederate Money.” Where the Lone Ranger befriended them and helped them out of a tight spot or two.
