Judy is thrilled to tell Geranium how Mickey Rooney gave her a note to ask her for a date. The rotund maid tells about a date with Pomeroy, then the two have Sylvester get the car ready to go to town. After learning about the car troubles, the two gals take the streetcar instead. Eddie Dean sings, Lasso a Rainbow.
Though Eddie offers to date Judy, she turns him down, as we learn about their last date out roller skating. Also Geranium has fun with dumb waiters and elevators. Maybe Judy ought to stick to the escalator. Or maybe that’s the osculator? Shopping misadventures ensue as Judy shops for a fur. Pedro phones in to tell about troubles with a pig, and how much he misses Judy. Will Mickey Rooney make his date? As she tells Ken Niles about the details of her date, a mix up is discovered.
To wrap up the show, and at the request of servicemen Judy sings, You Are My Sunshine. In closing, Judy tells why it’s important tio save fat and grease from cooking to lend to the war effort.
