A dishonest partner, Tom, threatens to take everything a pioneer family owns, and send them bacvk East with nothing. It just ain’t fair! Won’t anybody lend a hand to Aaron and Mary? It’s every man for himself as the time for the land grab draws near. Trivia Alert:In this story, the government office is in Pine Ridge. Since Oklahoma is the territory being opened in this story, it’s likely Pine Ridge, Arkansas. Future home of Lum and Abner and their Jotem Down Store. Of course, Pine Ridge was a fictional town, and didn’t really exist. At least not until the popularity of the Lum and Abner program, when a town in Arkansas changed it’s name.
