Not sure if this is the right date, probably not, but it’s in the general time frame.
Jack and Rochester are at home, listening to the radio. A program called, the Mean Old Man is playing. The stingy character in the program is eerily similar to Jack, although he doesn’t see it. Mary phones in sick, she won’t be back on the show until next week. As Jack awaits a script, Dennis arrives to tell the latest with his parents. He sings, Hey Brother Pour the Wine.
When Jack tries to phone his sponsor, the operators chat about dating Jack. Don and the Sportsmen are having a fall out over their salaries from Jack. The TV director stops by with bad news. He hates the script, but loves the Mean Man of the Radio show. His dislike of Jack’s script is because nobody can really be as stingy as Jack comes across in it.. or can they?
Jack proves him wrong in some last minute action.
