Britt Ponsett has had trouble sleeping, but when he goes to the livery stable to get his horse, Scar, he finds him missing. The livery owner nervously explains how he rented out the near wild horse to a head strong woman from back East. The upset, angry, and worried
Britt tells how he raised the horse from a colt, and that nobody else can even ride him without getting bucked off. His fears are put to rest when Scar appears with the gal on his back, and doing a fancy new high step. What came over the horse to make him let the woman on his back? Britt finds out whenhe he falls under the same spell.
Myra has relatives she’s staying with, and they try to push her together with Britt in hopes of doing some matchmaking. Neither are fond of the situation, are too comfortable remaining single, and enjoying their carefree lifestyles. In fact they are so well matched, they actually find themselves falling in love with each other. With all the challenges, outlaws, and gun battles that Britt has survived, he just may have met his match that will take him out of his saddle and make him settle down.
Will Britt pop the question? Will Myra accept? Will this be the end of the Six Shooter, and the beginning of a settled life ranching?
Note: The announcer states that this is the last show in the series so anything could happen. The hope of a future revival of the series is expressed and an ending that might help that along is arrived at. Personally, I think a different ending would have been better, but it leaves room for possibilities for Britt’s future.
