Another day passes without word from the woman who left her baby in the care of Lum and Abner. They have decided to take the child to the county seat, to the county seat, and be left in the hands of proper authorities.
Is there something curious afoot? Will the gents find themselves in some kind of trouble for having the baby? Staying on top of the needs of the baby is keeping the gents busy. As much as the hassles of caring for the child have been on the gents, they begin to miss him already. And they haven’t quite given him up yet.
Cedric arrives with his car, and while Lum goes to deal with the crying baby, Abner gives an update on his ordeal with the still missing Lizabeth. Still no word on her, but Cedric finds a threatening note left for the gents about the baby.
