With this being Mother’s Day, Don introduces jack as the Mother of the program. Jack greets the children of his show as each visit with a word of how they are honoring their mothers. Topics and jokes range from Phils band members, dating, and gifts for mom. Mary phones her mom, and learns what gifts were given back home. Phil plays, Morraco.
Phil tells Jack about his success at the Kentucky Derby. Mary joins in to show what she knows about horse races, then Kenny Baker enters. He has to be brought up to speed on Jack’s theme of being the Mother of the show. If only he can stop flubbing lines. Kenny and Mary share some Mother’s Day jokes and riddles. Don sings a sponsor related Mother’s Day song, harmony and adlibs provided by the rest of the cast.
Kenny sings, Lost and Found. Jack calls on his schoolhood friend, Mancel Talcott, Mayor of Waukegan to help with the show. Bitey and Droopy, Mancel and Jack respectively, talk about old times and how things have changed in the old stomping grounds.
Bitey meets the cast, and joins in to help with the play. Mary is a wife with several boyfriends, Jack is her unsuspecting husband, and he is to leave on a business trip.
In a skit, Jack says goodbye to his wife, Faith, and though the clues to her unfaithfulness are rampant, he seems to be clueless. One by one, her lovers come over, and are hiding out as Jack tries to ambush Faith, and catch her red handed. Will it work? Does it matter as long as the laughs keep coming? Stand by for another of Don’s yummie Jello recipe ideas.
