The White Legion is a vigilante group who dishes out judgement based on it’s own set of rules and standards. William Devons is their latest victim, and his case has the attention of Lamonte Cranston and Margot Lane. The targets of the White Legion are key people in the legal system and government. As the problem of obstructing the legitimate justice system grows, the Shadow begins to make plans to move in.
Following up on some leads, Lamonte Cranston knows where the White Legion meets, and his plan isn’t only to rescue the latest victim, but to wipe out the vigilante group. The legion is wide spread, and the Shadow has his hands full to get his job done. Still, he has a few tricks up his sleeve to put the bad guys on the spot.
