The story of a man who fell over 8000 feet through space to prove his idea about parachutes would work.
The idiotic idea of drifting through the air, supported by a piece of cloth was scoffed at, but Andre had already envisioned it as a safety tool for tall buildings in case of fire. An experiment in England had failed, and pursuit in inventing a successful parachute lost interest. Andre isn’t giving up though, and in 1802, he arranges for his experiment. He lands safely, but there’s still work to do to perfect his invention.
