Host is Ernie Whitman. With much jubilant jive, Ernie calls on CP Johnson to play, Sherman Shuffle.
The Delta Rhythm Boys respond to some mailbag requests before they sing Johnny Mercer’s big hit, That Old Black Magic.
Ernie calls on Jimmy Rogers, who chats with Ernie, then sings, Bring Enough Clothes for Three Days.
CP Johnson sings, Mop Mop.
As Ernie tries to introduce the next act, Johnny Mercer slips in to keep up with Ernies jive talk. Some of Johnnies big hits are mentioned. Ernie asks Johny to tell about some of his inspiration behind his hits. Finally Johnny sings his latest hit, GI Jive.
Ernie talks to Johnny about a song idea he wants to promote. With the joking done, and with the Delta Rhythm Boys, Johnny sings, Knock Me a Kiss. Hmm… I think Johnny may have wrote it, and he does a good enough job singing it, but I think that Ida James puts in a lot more sex appeal.
CP Johnson is back with, Swing Crazy.
To close the show, Ernie and CP share a few final words before signing off.
