Though he may not be up on the pop culture and idols of the kids these days, Gildy shares about his own entertainment idols.
Feeling rejected by his family, Gildy goes to see if Leila Ransom will be up for a night at the theater. Will the fickle love interest fall for Gildy’s advances? In the barber shop, the gang has a hard time believing Gildy is in very tight with the theater star. Even Peavey doesn’t quite give the strokes the great man is looking for.
At the theater, Gildy keeps up his empty boasting about knowing the star. He later shows up at Leila’s party with the aging actress on his arm. Will she sing him the son that he has been hoping to hear?
