The mystery of the headless indian is a ploy to drive a friend of Perry White’s out of his mind. Superman has had his hands full in trying to keep all his friends safe from the sinister mastermind of the Laugher. Today we find that Niles has Lois in his crosshairs, but his rifle blows up in his face. How will Lois get the huge man back to the lodge on her own? They seem to be trapped in the frozen wilderness together, facing death. Night is falling, and temperatures are dropping. Are they just wandering in circles? As Lois begins to panic, she can’t understand why Niles keeps laughing uncontrollably.
It isn’t until he admits to Lois that she grasps the evil nature that lies below the surface of the hulking man. Despite the misdeed, Lois is bent on saving him as well as herself… if she can help it.
Arriving at the mounties station, Superman delivers Perry to safety.
The police are amazed to see Perry arriving so soon, but even more amazed at the site of the man in the red and blue suit. He can’t stay, and flies on his way back to the lodge to protect the rest of his friends… if he isn’t already too late.
