In their night time search for the headless indian, Perry White was shot. As Superman, Clark flew him the 5 miles back to the lodge and safety. How will he be able to explain that one to his friends? If Niles wasn’t sure about Clark’s identity, I think the only reason he hasn’t learned it for sure, is because the writers don’t want the mastermind, evil genius to figure it out. Both Jimmy and Sebastian seem to have doubts about Clark’s story in getting back so quickly.
Clark blows a smoke screen to distract attention from his escapade by putting Sebastian on the spot. What is he hiding? Is there secrets that he’s not telling?
Later the Laugher enters, but Superman is there to confront him. Though Niles openly admits to attempting to kill Perry, Superman is helpless to use it against him. There’s no hard proof to take to the police. Even punching the mountain of a man has little affect. Superman vows to protect his friends against the threats from the Laugher.
Note: Since the season began, kiddies have been urged to buy war stamps. Now they’re being sold on asking only for war bonds for Christmas… in place of presents… yeah right. Did kids actually do that?bI can’t imagine a kid wanting to give presents up for bonds.
