As Bud, Kathy, and Betty get home from school they find a suit case in the house. Does it belong to uncle Hubert? The relative has been expected, and apparently isn’t a favorite of the family.. but where is he? Nobody has seen him. Should someone stay home, to greet him when he shows up? Everybody has pressing things to do.
Besides giving up his room to his uncle, Bud gives up an evening of writing hit songs with friends. Kathy has to pass on watching her friends dolls… or does she? Should Jim and Margret go out on the town, when Hubert is going to be here? Maybe Jim can shove uncle Hubert off on a local cronie?
Where is the fussy uncle? Has he decided to move his suitcase into Betty and Kathy’s room? Now the Andersens have to scramble to rearrange sleeping arrangements. Hubert’s old cronies shows up, since Jim called to try and pass the undesired relative along. Still no sign of uncle Hubert though.
Finally, the family gets around to interrogating Kathy about the suitcase, and where uncle Hubert is. The secret is revealed, and jumping to conclusions is over… right?
