As the show opens, we find Rush reading a letter aloud to Vic. It explains the latest idea from the lodge about the marching band. Vic is excited, and clearly has read the letter as he enlightens Sade on the finer points of how it works, and interjects comments as Rush reads.
Since lodge members are spread out across the country, it makes it hard to get together to march as a band. Each member will put on their full lodge regalia, take their instrument, and march at the same time through their own yards. Interesting, but I have to agree with Sade on the silliness of this one. Still, it combines two of Vic’s most favorite things, the lodge and parades.
Synchronized marching from a distance. Crazy idea, but Vic is determined to make it work. Go Vic.
