Still in London, Clark and Lois have made contact with the scientist who invented the tiny men. Lois and Jimmy visit the Tower of London to see the scaffold, and the bloody tower. A guard in full costume offers to show them a special part of the bloody tower. Jimmy is beginning to get a funny feeling on the cold and dreary day.
Inside, we learn the guard is a plant, and his mission is to lock them away in a cell where Lois and Jimmy will never be found alive. The door is made of stout oak, a foot thick, and the room as black as coal. Is there any hope that Superman will find them, or hear their yells for help?
Hours later, Clark worries when his friends are late for dinner. Will he find any clues when he tries to trace their steps? The legitimate guards don’t know what could have happened, but an emergency with the tiny men back at the hotel risks Clark away as Superman.
