After rescuing the downed aircraft and passengers at sea, Superman has his hands full in trying to carry them through a barrage of anti aircraft gunfire. Pursuit fighter planes are in the skies, and recognize the plane as a friendly one. But the amazed pilots can’t believe the sight of the man in the blue and red suit who is caarrying the disabled flying boat.
As soon as the plane is on the ground, Superman disappears as quickly as he can, and without thanks. Taking credit, or getting attention isn’t his style.
Lois Lane tells the British airstrip authorities about Superman as best as she can, but they think its too fantastic to believe. Meanwhile, high above, Superman contemplates what his next step in this mystery ought to be. This looks like a job for… Clark Kent!
