It was a day like any other Sunday, and roy sings a song with dale. I come to the garden Alone. Then they found a strange thing. A puppet is in the bell tower ringing the church bell. Is it alive? Roy has a better explanation that he shares with his sidekick, Gabby Hayes. If the marionette was only dangling from the rope, who could be hiding in the belfry, and ringing the bell?
Later at the ranch, the trick still weighs heavy on Roy’s mind. Is it a prank of some kind? Now the puppet shows up in other places, is talking, and even demanding money. What can Roy do about the matter? There’s something mighty peculiar about this, can it get any stranger? How about a talking puppet riding on a horse?
Roy has discovered the secret behind the talking puppet, but before he can explain, he has to race into town to investigate a robbery of the church poor box. In the sheriff’s office, he help;s jail the bad guy, and explains it all to Dale and Gabby.
Roy and Dale sing, Carry Me Back to the Lone Prairie.
Note: There’s a blooper left in during the scene where Roy tells all in the sheriff’s office. Cover your ears kiddies so you won’t hear the King of the Cowboys swear on the air. After the commercial, he redoes the scene without the blooper.
