In the mountains of the West, there were many places for bandits to hideout. At a western town, A down and out man complains about his brother, and how well off he is. When things get a little rough, Tonto tries to step in, but the man warns him off. The gal, Mary, goes to the rich brother to relate what happened, and worn the brother that bad things might be brewing.
The disgruntled brother, Dan, has people fooled, even the Lone Ranger. Tonto isn’t buying it though. He convinces Lone Ranger that something is wrong. When Mary is kidnapped, Tonto takes a fall when he is shot. Dan has Mary tucked away in a mountain hideout. But with the Lone Ranger on hand, no hideout is safe.
Lone Ranger is thrown a loop when he learns that Tonto has been shot. Has the faithful friend, Tonto failed the Lone Ranger? The ransom situation is safely under control in the hands of the sheriff. The Lone Ranger races off to rescue the girl, and check on Tonto. Hey, it’s one thing to rock the boat of justice, but don’t mess with the Lone Ranger’s personal friends.
