The arguement turns to opinions on miracles and scientific principles. Matters take an interesting turn when the one gentleman, Mr Fatheringay discovers that when he points a finger at an object, and makes a wish, it comes true. A gas lamp hovers, and crashes to the ground. But that’s just the beginning.
He realizes the great responsibility that now rests on his shoulders. When he seeks advice from a much wiser man, the two run through the town all night, doing good deeds. At least deeds that seem good to them.
When Fatheringgay pushes the limits to see how extensive his powers are, he finds that he has bitten off more than he can chew. Oopsi. Will he be able to fix it, and set things right? Enjoy this light hearted drama to see how it works in the world of HG Wells.
