Everybody talks about the weather, but nobody does anything about it, except Miss Brooks. The absent minded Mrs Davis and Connie share their ideas for keeping cool. Walter pops in, but shows signs of his own methods of cooling off, and tells a secret on the principal, Mr Conklin.
With the heatwave making school uncomfortable, Connie is drawn into a plan to sabotage Conklin’s electric fan. At least she tries to get him to cancel school due to the extreme heat. She appeals to logic, she tries buttering him up, will it come to threats?
The battle is lost, so Connie is off to deal with the hightempers that the high temperature has brought on. Boynton seems to be on the side for cancelling school, but will he pull any weight with Conklin? It’s looking like that act of sabotage is the last ditch effort. The situation changes fast, and somehow Connie finds herself locked in a closet with Mr Boynton.
