Dean and Jerry are in their apartment worrying over their bills. At the mention of needing to ern money, neighbor Sophie Leonard just happens to pop in and offers a scheme to get an income boost. A friend of Sophie’s has a circus and the guys plan to get jobs there.
To transition, dean sings, Dark Town Strutters Ball. Florence pops in to put her slant on the idea of working at the circus. Later at the circus, with Sophie as their guide, they’re sure to make a buck, but first they need to find the right venue to fit into. The ticket booth? The baseball tossing game? After running into BurtLancaster, they want to work as acrobats.
Dean sings, I Don’t See Me in Your Eyes Anymore. Jerry ropes Dean into doing a fortune teller act to pick up a few bucks. What the circus needs is a lion tamer, and Jerry is picked or the job. Finally, Jerry joins Burt Lancaster in a trapeze act.
