Title: The Dead Do Walk at Night.
At least two people have seen the body of Doc Simms prowling the tiny town across the bay from San Fransisco. Gail and Martin Stanley are brother and sister, and their uncle is the prowling dead man. Carmella and Andre Luis are cousins, and their uncle is another of the dead men. Investigating the scream, Friday and Doc Croft explore to see who could’ve carried off the 110 pound Gail, and where did they take her? Has she been buried alive? Doc performs resuscitation measures. Doc and Friday hide the fact that Gail has been found, or that she’s still alive. A trap is set by swapping rooms.
A scuffle needs to be broken up when Andre thinks that Martin Stanley is making passes at his cousin. Eventually, Gail comes around, and her well being is told. How will it change the way Friday and Doc have planned to catch their man?
Her ordeal has Gail weeping, a trait that isn’t like her. Doc springs into action to both care for the women, and keep the men preoccupied. Is Andrea as hurt by the earlier advances from Martin as she first appeared to be? Gail has recovered enough to start recounting her ordeal with the hands that grabbed her, and drug her outside the window. Was it yet another of the dead men? Should somebody check in at the morgue? Will all the bodies still be found there?
Leaving Doc with the women, Friday and the rest go to find out.
What’s this on the beach… more dead bodies? An unlocked door at the morgue hints at what they’ll find inside… missing bodies.
