Title: Conversation in the Casket.
To review, Captain Friday tells a little about the secret mission that brought him to the remote Canadian wilderness, and the rescue of Judith Wright. They escaped thumps on the heads, but only to see Judith be put into a coffin.
Now they’re being taken captive. Who is the two me, English a and Abbott? Of course they deny knowing about coffins, or blonde girls. Will they be left to freeze to death, tied up, and locked in a cabin over night in the Canadian winter? Friday has a trick up his sleeve, and an underground passage is discovered.
At the other end of the passage, a coffin is found, and Judith seems to be alive inside of it. Can she be trusted? Why would someone want to bury her alive?
The escape is short lived, and our heros awake from their thumps on the heads. Can they manage to cut themselves loose again? Even if they can, what good will it do? Friday knows what the next step is, and he’ll have to race quickly with Skip to make to the harbor in time.
