The Christmas Spirirt has hit the household with full force. Henry seems to have forgotten all the recent drama with his son Paul, and is in high spirits. His walk has refreshed him, and he expresses how glad he is to be celebrating Christmas in his own home, and with his family. Henry has a surprise for the family, a new plastic, artificial Christmas tree. Just think of having the beauty of the holiday decorations that never fade, and are just as fresh from year to year. Too bad Fannie, or anybody else seems to like it much.
Claudia is bubbling with news, and a phone call from Nick. Her dspirit is lifted, and ready to enjoy the holiday. Elsewhere, Jack jokes with the nursemaid for the kids about his domestic abilities. We finally learn what she feels about Paul. Does she harbor any ill feelings over Christine Abbott?
Henry pops in to talk about Christmas shopping, and to try to push off his plastic tree onto Jack.
Meanwhile, Paul helps Christine do some gift wrapping and decorating. The only person who doesn’t seem to be in the Christmas spirit is Rexford.
