The story thus far is reviewed. The murder of Robert English by Tulah, the green eyed woman, and the involvement in Captain Friday in the expedition to the jungles of Chile. The brothers of the land of the dead had been waiting for a sign, a hila monster crossing the sun, then a world catastrophe will take place. Mrs Santos has again been caught in a betrayal, and Friday confronts her on her activity. Have they discovered the secret passage, or not? If Mrs Santos can’t be trusted, then why does Friday keep trusting her to verify the secrets they’ve learned? She tells how her husband was mistreated when he learned of the secret passage.
Friday has had enough, and the gang all return to civilization for a while. Captain Friday marvels at how they’re still mistreated by the natives, but Mrs Santos is treated like their high priestess. With five days before the catastrophe is to strike, the time runs short. Weather patterns on the mountains are observed. Is it a clue to the secret passage?
The brothers of the living dead have taken over every stronghold. Will Friday and his crew once again be their prisoners? A special fate awaits Judith, and only death is in store for our heros. As they sit in their cel, Captain Friday manages to find a way out. Has he figured out some clue, a secret of the monistary? Is Mrs Santos back on their side? Can she use some of her mystical powers to rescue Judith before its too late?
