Deep in the jungle of Chile, Captain Friday, Skip Turner, and Dr English have escaped their cell, only to be once again trapped. What evil plans do the monks have? Just when all hope seems lost, Judith is returned, and our band is reunited. Mrs Santos explains herself, and proves that she is to be trusted. Friday isn’t fully satisfied, and confronts her to have all his loose ends tied up? She shares as many mystic secrets as she can.
After two weeks in the jungle, there seems to be nothing accomplished, but our crew spend some time relaxing. There’s still the matter of the map, and exploring the secret passage. What does Judith know about her father’s map, and the key to open the secret door?
In the dank passages under the monistary, our gang explore, looking for the passage that will take them to the middle of the land of the living dead. Images drawn on the wall match that on the map. The door in the rock swings freely… maybe a little too freely. Screams of pain indicate they’re not alone. Henderson is a missing archaeologist and his dieing words offer enough of a clue to spur Dr English to the next step. Skeletons line the stairway to the sun. Centuries of waiting are at hand, and the world is in the hand of the monks of the brothers of the living dead. Will there be any hope of stopping them?
